Talking to Teens About Consent Workshop

A 2 week parent education program aimed at helping parents navigate conversations with children about consent.  This program is for parents of teens ages 12-16 years old.

If you’ve ever asked yourself any of these questions, this program is for you!

  • Is talking about consent that important?
  • What’s changed and why is it so confusing?
  • Why is consent such a hot topic?
  • What is the right age to bring up the role of consent in relationships?

Notes:

  • Please plan to attend both classes.
  • Topics covered include defining consent, ethical consent, coercion, healthy relationships, and how parents can weave the topic of consent into larger conversations about sex and intimacy.

Format & What to Expect from our Parent Workshops

Each week we will provide a combination of information, practical advice and discussion to equip YOU to talk to your children.

We’ll explore how you can overcome stumbling blocks that make it uncomfortable to talk to your children about sex and intimacy, and give you practical guidelines to help keep the conversation going with your children as they grow.

This class is a unique opportunity to go one step further than your typical puberty/sex education class.

Expect to come away from this program with new confidence about talking to your daughter about sex and intimacy and practical ideas for getting started right away.
